oh-hello ladies!: Dalia Goodman of Dilly's Collections

This week I'm chatting to Dalia Goodman of Dilly's Collections. Dilly's Collections strives to make life a little bit easier for everyone, one great hair day at a time. Dilly's extensive product range includes shower caps, microfibre hair turbans, satin sleeping caps, microfibre body wraps, eye masks and so much more. 

What inspired you to start your business, and what was the first thing you did to begin the process?

The frizzy hair gene has always been a topic of conversation in my family. Growing up in a house with three women, between us, we have spent endless hours managing thick, long and unruly hair - hair that quite literally has a mind of its own.

Shower caps became a staple in managing our hair, but all the ones available on the market at the time just didn’t quite suit. They were often too small or made out of plastic that would become gross after a few uses. I was throwing out shower caps all the time. I wanted a shower cap that lasted, one that was high quality and wouldn’t be thrown in the trash after a few uses, which is where my business idea started. Now, as well as offering our reusable microfibre shower caps, we also offer a large range of other products for your hair and body that are all reusable too!

After the idea formed, it was all about research and testing. I looked at heaps of product samples before I found one that was perfect.

What inspires you?

I’m inspired by strong, empowered women who are owning who they are and living their best life. Life is too short to not be entirely yourself!

What is the best business advice you’ve ever received?

At times the work will be hard, but it will always be worth it.

What are your favourite things to do to take a break?

I love seeing my friends! 2020 has definitely made me value time with them more, but I always find catching up with them is super relaxing even during a busy week. I also love going for runs!
