How to Pop the Big Question

How to Pop the Big Question

You have found your true love, and now you are wondering how to pop the big question to your wedding peeps. Asking your besties to be in your wedding party is almost as exciting as getting engaged and coming up with fun proposal ideas is only half the fun. Whether you throw a proposal dinner or deliver individual gifts, the element of surprise is what makes the experience so memorable.

Your wedding party should be a reflection of you are your partner and include the people who have been with you through it all. Bridal parties can be a mixture of bridesmaids, groom girls, brides-men, groomsmen, best men and best ladies… So regardless of who you want to be standing by your side on your big day, we’ve come up with a list of some of our favourite creative ways to pop the big question.

Get crafty

Find a photo and get creative with text and turn it into a puzzle. Break it apart and present the pieces in an envelope or inside a gift box and watch them solve the mystery. Secret message puzzles are lots of fun and easy to make, and perfect for long distance proposals.

Pop it

Write a special proposal message on a piece of paper and put it inside a blown-up balloon. Tie it up with coloured ribbon and add a gift tag to tell your bestie to pop it! Add some confetti inside the balloon to make it extra special.

Have a dinner party

If you are lucky enough to have your besties live local, what's a better occasion to throw a dinner party than asking your peeps to be in your bridal party? Even if it's just pizza and beer, tell them it is a little engagement party – and give them the surprise proposal in a gift box. It’s a perfect opportunity to tell your friends how much they mean to you before asking them to open their gift boxes to reveal the surprise.

Have a laugh

Your bridal party is going to be planning several of your pre-wedding activities and answering a lot of questions between now and the big day. So, kick things off by organising a little fun as part of your proposals. Invite them to join you for an afternoon at the beach or even better rent a house and make a weekend of it! Have a few cocktails, listen to music, dance, reminisce and make it just like old times - a fun way to kick things off.

Frame it

Because so many of the photos you take with your friends aren’t printed out, browse Instagram or Facebook to find your favourite photo to print and put into a photo frame. Add a special note to pop the question and give your people a gift they’ll cherish forever.

Send it as a gift

If you can’t go and see your peeps to celebrate with them, the next best thing is to send them something special in the mail, right?

Delight them by sending your proposal in a gift box along with a thoughtful gift such as bath bombs, face masks, and a scented candle! Remember, not everyone’s gift has to be the same, and that’s the fun in personalised gifts! Send one today
